This curriculum primarily prepares its graduates to work in a clinical laboratory;
however, the student receives many transferable science skills. This option allows
the graduate to seek national certification as a clinical lab technician/medical
lab technician. This option includes an internship in a clinical, hospital laboratory.
Graduates of this option are employed in a variety of laboratory settings.
Graduates receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible for
National Certification through the American Society Clinical Pathologists or
National Certifying Agency (American Society of Clinical Laboratory Sciences).
