The Medical Laboratory Technology program will prepare students for an entry level position in the health care delivery system in hospitals, private clinical Laboratories, or research Laboratories. Students will have knowledge of chemistry, microbiology, and serology. They will also have skills that include blood collection and Laboratory testing of body fluids in hematology, urinalysis, serology, and blood bank practices. Upon completion of the program, students will receive an AS Degree and be eligible to take the examination for the national certification and the state license as required by the Florida Clinical Laboratory Law.
