The goal of the Occupational Therapy Assisting Program is to provide meaningful and appropriate educational experiences that enable students to develop knowledge and achieve competency in entry-level skills. The program leads to certification as an occupational therapy assistant (COTA).
Accreditation and Certification

The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Graduates are able to sit for the National Certification Examination to become a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

OT practitioners can be credentialed at either professional (occupational therapist) or technical (occupational herapy assistant) levels.
