The Office Systems Technology Program curriculum includes courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software, oral and written communication, analysis and coordination of office duties and systems and other support topics. Emphasis is placed on non-technical as well as technical skills. Students learn about office management, records anagement, keyboarding, basic accounting, research and reporting, oral communications and business law. Some of the software applications include word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, presentation graphics, and database applications.

The length of time it takes to complete the degree depends on whether the student is full-time or part-time and whether he or she chooses the degree program or one of the certificate programs. The full-time day student completes five semesters in two years.
