The medical office concentration provides a comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary for work in physicians’ offices, insurance companies, billing companies, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. Knowledge of medical billing, collections, and reimbursement guidelines are necessary for successful employment in a health care office or facility. The five classes in the medical office concentration are only offered in a block online format. Students seeking this concentration must take all five of the required classes on one semester. This block is generally offered every third semester.
