Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will be prepared to do the following: 1 work in the legal profession as an entry-level legal assistant under the direct supervision of an attorney, 2 take national legal assistant certification exams, and 3 continue their college education.
Paralegal Studies majors may request credit by exam for a maximum of six (6) credit hours of legal specialty courses (LGLA prefix courses only). The student must score a minimum of 75 percent on the exam to receive credit for the course. See Legal Studies Coordinator for the details.
