The pre-engineering program at Adrian College is a two-year program in science, computer, and mathematics designed to prepare students for entrance into the third year of engineering school. It includes courses required by the engineering accrediting association for all engineering schools and programs. Students who complete it can transfer to the engineering school of their choice (upon admission and acceptance to that school).
All pre-engineering students will complete the following courses: Mathematics 135, 205,215 and 305; Computer Information Systems 106; Physics 205, 206, 209 and 210; Chemistry 103 and 104; English 101; and a writing intensive course. Mathematics 303 is also recommended. In addition, students are encouraged to complete coursework in the humanities and social sciences.
