General Information
The Alegent Health School of Radiologic Technology offers a 23-month program of
academic study and clinical education in the radiology department. The program
begins each year in late August. Courses consist of lectures, demonstrations and
supervised clinical experience. When not in class, students perform various radiologic
procedures with staff technologists. Students participate in all activities according
to a scheduled rotation through appropriate areas within the radiology department.
Upon completion of the program, students are awarded an Associate of Applied Science
in Radiologic Technology degree and are eligible to take the American Registry
of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) examination. After successfully completing the
ARRT exam, graduates become registered technologists and are entitled to use the
initials R.T. (R) after their names.
