Middle School Math/Science Track
The Associate of Arts in Teaching degree is designed for students preparing
to transfer to a four-year institution to obtain a baccalaureate degree education
and teacher certification. The program incorporates foundation coursework in
teacher education, field based experience, and content coursework in a selected
certification area. This degree is accepted at all 4-year public universities
and colleges in Arkansas upon completion of the entire degree. A 2.65 GPA is
required for graduation from the AAT program.
Students must successfully pass the Praxis I to graduate with the Associate
of Arts in Teaching degree and be accepted for transfer with junior classification.
The AAT degree does not guarantee acceptance into a 4-year teacher education
program.
