Associate degrees in Autobody + Collision and Repair Technology + Technician: A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, reconstruct and finish automobile bodies, fenders, and external features. Includes instruction in structure analysis, damage repair, non-structural analysis, mechanical and electrical components, plastics and adhesives, painting and refinishing techniques, and damage analysis and estimating.
The auto body curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for employment in entry-level positions in auto body metal repair, frame and body alignment, and painting (cars, trucks, boats, RV equipment, etc.).
Except in cases of a prerequisite requirement, it is not required to take courses in exactly this sequence; they are recommended in this order to facilitate success.
