This program is essentially the first two years of a baccalaureate degree elementary and secondary education. The curriculum is specific in order to facilitate transfer of Camden County College credits. The curriculum is based on New Jersey State Teacher Certification requirements and teacher transferability to education programs in the region.

The Elementary Education pre-major is designed for students who plan to pursue a Bachelor of Arts Degree Elementary Education. Students who successfully complete this program and who meet admissions requirements at the receiving institution will be eligible to transfer to UNC institutions and some private senior institutions in North Carolina as juniors.
The Associate of Arts in Teaching/Elementary Education provides the opportunity for a seamless transfer to Maryland State and private colleges for an elementary education major. To receive the degree, students must have a 2.750 GPA, begin development of their professional teaching portfolio, and pass the Praxis I prior to the final Carroll term.
