Associate degrees in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology + Technician (ACH + ACR + ACHR + HRAC + HVAC: A program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of engineers and other professionals engaged in developing and using air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems. Includes instruction in principles of heating and cooling technology, design and operational testing, inspection and maintenance procedures, installation and operation procedures, and report preparation.
The Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Technology program provides the theory, knowledge and skills of refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment for systems in residential and light commercial structures. Students in air conditioning refrigeration are taught in the classroom and laboratory on models and equipment to prepare the student for satisfactory entrance and advancement in the HVAC-R field.
