Central Christian College maintains two year and career entry programs in the Communications department to provide for the needs of our students. Students who complete the two year Associate in Arts degree will find an easy transition into the four year Bachelor of Science Communication Major or into the Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts Major here at Central because the general education requirements are very similar.
The Associate in Arts degree program with an emphasis in Journalism is designed for students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor's degree in print journalism.
This program is also suited for students interested in a two-year terminal degree prior to ground-level entry work on a weekly or small daily newspaper.

Students who complete this degree will be able to transfer to a university or enter the local job market. Many new jobs‑in electronic information management are being created. These supplement existing jobs in newspapers and magazines as well as public relations and media. In this program, students will gain hands-on experience with all aspects of gathering, organizing and disseminating information.
