Associate degrees in Mason + Masonry: A program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills in the laying and/or setting of brick, concrete block, hard tile, marble and related materials, using trowels, levels, hammers, chisels, and other hand tools. Includes instruction in technical mathematics, blueprint reading, structural masonry, decorative masonry, foundations, reinforcement, mortar preparation, cutting and finishing, and applicable codes and standards.
A student who receives the Associate of Applied Science Degree – Health Studies must have graduated from or be eligible to graduate from a diploma program in a field appropriate to the degree area. The AAS program requires a minimum of 90 quarter credit hours, to include a minimum of 30 credits in general education and 60 credits in occupational preparation.
