Associate degrees in Real Estate: A program that prepares individuals to develop, buy, sell, appraise, and manage real property. Includes instruction in land use development policy, real estate law, real estate marketing procedures, agency management, brokerage, property inspection and appraisal, real estate investing, leased and rental properties, commercial real estate, and property management.
Upon completion of this program, the student will have met the educational requirements
for Real Estate Salesperson/Broker licensure. Students completing this curriculum
may qualify to enter a bachelor of applied arts and sciences degree program or
a bachelor of general studies degree program at a four-year institution. Students
seeking a Bachelor of Business Administration degree should follow the Business
Administration degree plan.

The associate degree program in real estate focuses on the practical
application and concepts utilized in real estate markets and career
fields. Course work includes real estate principles, legal aspects,
practice, finance, economics and appraisal.
The requirements for an associate degree Real Estate may be satisfied by completing the Real Estate Broker‘s certificate program in addition to the associate degree requirements.
Except in cases of a prerequisite requirement, it is not required that courses be taken in exactly this sequence; they are recommended in this order to facilitate success.
