Associate degrees in Religion + Religious Studies: A program that focuses on the nature of religious belief and specific religious and quasi-religious systems. Includes instruction in phenomenology; the sociology, psychology, philosophy, anthropology, literature and art of religion; mythology; scriptural and textual studies; religious history and politics; and specific studies of particular faith communities and their behavior.
To receive the degree Associate in Arts (A.A.) a student must earn 66 credits with a minimum average grade of C or a 2.0 grade point average (G.P.A.).At least half the credits must be obtained at Assumption College for Sisters.
A student with an Associate in Arts degree can also receive the Associate Religious Arts degree if she earns a total of 24 credits in theology. The student with an A.R.A. must complete the specific requirements for the A.A. to be eligible for this second degree.
