Program Purpose
This program prepares men and women of character for entry-level positions in Actuarial Science. Graduates will be prepared to take SOA exams FM and P, and obtain SOA VEE (Validation by Educational Experience) Applied Statistical Methods credit.
Expected Learning Outcomes
Students who complete the Actuarial Science BS program will:
1. demonstrate competence in the fundamental probability tools for quantitatively assessing risk.
2. demonstrate a basic understanding of the theory of interest, pensions and insurance systems.
3. demonstrate competence in applied statistics.
4. be employable in actuarial-related fields.
5. demonstrate competence in relevant statistical software.
