The Administrative Management major prepares graduates to communicate effectively, to think logically and creatively, and to relate well to other people. Students learn to manage processes related to technology, marketing, research, planning, business development, decision-making, reporting, purchasing, workspace design, budgets, travel public relations, records management and human resources. A broad range of courses deal with business technology including numerous hands-on courses using such programs as Access, Excel, Word, Dreamweaver, QuickBooks, PhotoShop, and InDesign. Two hardware-related courses along with a teaching technology course are included as well. The major prepares graduates for a wide range of career paths many of which include management positions.
