The golf facilities management concentration is designed to prepare students for careers as golf course superintendents.
The GFM concentration is designed to give students the knowledge, experience and confidence needed to pursue a career as a golf course superintendent and/or facilities manager. The curriculum consists of a unique combination of courses that will teach students business-based management skills, technical abilities, and provide internship opportunities.
After completing the required agribusiness core, students can select the Golf Facilities Management concentration core, which consists of 25 semester hours:
* Golf-related courses selected from an approved list* (19 semester hours)
* Internship (6 semester hours)
All golf-related classes are designed to help prepare the GFM student to maintain standards supported by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
