The purpose of the Agriculture major is to prepare students to fill an expanding demand for persons who are basically trained in the liberal arts as well as practical and scientific aspects of agriculture.
The specific objectives are as follows:
1) demonstrate the ability to speak and write clearly and knowledgeably in the field of agriculture;
2) demonstrate the ability to recognize problems and propose solutions in animal, plant and soil management systems;
3) demonstrate knowledge of agriculture production and processing technology.
