The “Alumni MBA” is for exemplary students in California Baptist University’s Bachelor’s degree programs in business, and offers an extraordinary opportunity to earn the MBA in 30 units, instead of the standard 42 units. The degree is earned with fewer units than the standard MBA because it recognizes the breadth and high level of business skill and knowledge acquired in CBU’s undergraduate business programs. Consequently, a CBU Bachelor’s degree business with at least a 3.25 GPA is required, completed no more than 5 years prior to starting the MBA at CBU. If the GPA is below 3.25, CBU business students are eligible with a GMAT score of 500, or 5 years verifiable professional or managerial experience and a 2.75 GPA. If the bachelor's degree is more than 5 years old, students with at least 5 years recent professional or managerial experience may petition the University's Admissions and Retention Committee to waive the requirement regarding the age of the bachelor's degree. The 30-unit “Alumni MBA” Program consists of 10 courses carefully selected from the standard MBA curriculum.
