The undergraduate "General" major in Anthropology offers you a broad training in sociocultural.
The sociocultural anthropology subdiscipline investigates the interrelationship of socioeconomic institutions and ecology, health and medicine, religion and symbolism, psychology and language.
The General concentration provides both a wide and integrated perspective on human behavior, socio-cultural diversity, and human evolution.
This perspective fosters qualitative and quantitative analytic skills that are an excellent preparation for careers in health, international affairs, public service, education, law, management, and industry.
If you're more interested in pursuing further education instead of jumping into a career after graduation, anthropology is a Liberal Arts major that prepares you for graduate studies in anthropologically related fields or professional schools like medicine and law.
