This is a very strong program that combines the analysis and problem solving training of physics with the technical training of "industrial arts". Students trained in this program are in strong competition with industrial engineers. However, they have a distinct advantage of studying more physics than industrial engineers and hence are more broadly trained. This program encourages electronics and computer studies which enable graduates to seek employment in a number of areas such as the microelectronics, systems engineering and controls industry.
