Program description
The Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics is oriented differently from the B.S. and B.A. degrees physics. It is directed at those students whose interests lie at the interface between physics and contemporary high technology. The program offers a broad and deep background in physics and the accompanying mathematics, which is developed through the level of quantum mechanics, and which continues throughout the program. In the junior and senior years this general background is applied to several areas of current technological interest, including digital electronics and microprocessors, solid state physics with applications, and optics and lasers.
