The Bachelor of Science degree in Art Management prepares students for careers in museums, galleries, and arts organizations. The course of study includes classes in art history, studio art, business, and cross-disciplinary areas throughout the university.
The broad spectrum of this program can provide students with a wide variety of entry level opportunities in management. Graduates may choose to work in museums, craft outlets, galleries, or in nonprofit art agencies. Management positions exist in the above fields and in government programs at the federal, state, and local levels. Teaching in parks and recreation facilities, senior citizen centers, and museum education programs is also available with the proper planning of an individual’s concentration.
