OVERVIEW OF AVIATION ADMINISTRATION - PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT OPTION
Graduates of this option, in addition to completing requirements for the Aviation Administration - Management option, also complete a Professional Flight component leading to entry level employment as a professional pilot. Graduates can a private, instrument, commercial, multi-engine, CFI and CFII instructor certifications. Graduates also qualify for entry level positions in job classifications such as airport management, flight dispatcher, flight scheduler, air traffic controller, crew scheduler, air cargo operations manager, and administrative positions with the Federal Aviation Administration. The Professional Flight Program is FAA approved under CFR Part 141.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN ADMINISTRATION - PROFESSIONAL FLIGHT
Private sector and collegiate flight training schools; general aviation fixed base flight operations; regional airlines, corporate flight departments, Federal Aviation Administration, and local and state municipality flight departments (state aeronautics commissions, law enforcement, and the department of wild life).
