This program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree for students interested in entering missionary work from Bible College.
Students will investigate the work of church missions from a Biblical viewpoint, and they will be equipped to enter that work and fulfill its ends.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The graduate who completes this program will:
1.Preach and teach the Word of God and the principles of Christian living.
2.Be familiar with the place and ministry of the local church and the contributions of Baptists to gospel missionary work.
3.Build churches by winning and making disciples of nationals.
4.Be able to interpret the difference between North American culture and the gospel message while applying gospel principles to a particular culture.
5.Have a basis upon which to build a philosophy of mission work.
6.Have skills necessary to carry out the specialized tasks of missionary work.
7.Understand what is necessary to adjust to a foreign culture.
8.Understand the missionary's relationship to the local church, the mission agency and faithful individual supporters of the missionary's work.
