The mission of the B.A. program in Biblical/Theological Studies is to provide the student with a foundational knowledge of the history, literature, and theology of the Old and New Testaments, of systematic and historical theology, and of methods for further Biblical and theological studies, thus equipping men and women in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Coursework in biblical/theological studies is central to the Biola University curriculum. Upon completion of this major, it is intended that the student will be well acquainted with biblical content and have a grasp of the major doctrines of the Word of God, leading to greater spiritual maturity. The flexibility of electives within this major will enable the student to design a program in line with his/her ministry objectives. Career opportunities for Biblical Studies graduates are many and include most of the following Christian service categories:
