Achieve Success in the Business World
Do you have a knack for overcoming obstacles, resolving conflict, and fixing seemingly impossible problems? Do you have a disciplined work ethic and set high standards for quality? Are you a risk-taker and action-oriented? Do you have a sincere desire to understand and help people? Would you call yourself a leader?

Chances are if you answered “yes” to these questions, you have what it takes be successful in the challenging world of business.

As a business administration major at Florida Southern, you will gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to compete in an increasingly international business environment. You’ll take a basic set of management courses and additional electives in one (or more) specific career areas as part of your major, and supportive courses in related academic departments. All majors are encouraged to take industrial psychology (PSY 336).

Why pursue a business degree at Florida Southern?
  • Specialized options: Majors in Business Administration are required to pass a core set of management courses and choose additional courses in order to complete a major in one of five specific career areas: Finance, Information Technology Management, International Business, Management, and Marketing.

  • Dual interests: Combine your fascination for the business world with a passion for sports or music with interdepartmental majors in music management or sports management.

  • Experienced faculty: Connect with expert faculty; all 15 full-time faculty members bring years of business and consulting experience to your classes, all of which are taught in the state-of-the-art Carlisle Rogers Business and Economics Building. Credentialed faculty teach all classes; we have no teaching or graduate assistants.

  • Valuable internships: Test theory and gain professional experience through an internship at a local, regional, or national company. Internships are required for the international management concentration only and encouraged for all other business programs. Our in-house internship coordinator will help match your career interests with opportunities at hundreds of participating corporations.

  • Exceptional outcomes: Prepare for graduate school, including FSC’s own Master of Business Administration program, which offers specializations in accounting and international business and an optional European field experience.

  • Practical resources: Enhance your education with department tutors, an in-house state-of-the-art computer lab offering hands-on experience on computer applications for business, and membership in professional fraternities and service organizations such as Sigma Delta Chi and Delta Epsilon Chi. You’ll also be eligible for scholarships funded by local businesses.
