Students desiring to be certified to teach chemistry on the secondary level (grades 6-12) are to declare themselves as chemistry majors and education minors and register with the Benedictine University Education Program as teaching certificate candidates. Advisement is a joint responsibility of the chemistry education programs.
Students must complete the requirements for the chemistry major, a second teaching field and Teacher Certification in Secondary Education which includes an Education minor
