Brandeis Chinese Program offers three levels of modern Chinese language instruction on a regular basis, CHIN 10a, CHIN 20b, CHIN 30a, CHIN 40b, CHIN 105a, and CHIN 105b. It also offers a course CHIN29b for Chinese heritage learners. The curriculum of Brandeis Chinese Program is language proficiency orientated. ACTFL (The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language) Proficiency Guidelines is the framework for the teaching and learning. Therefore, the students will develop their proficiency in receptive skills as well as productive skills.
