The Christian Teacher Education program with the purpose of helping to prepare
the student for the ministry of teaching in private Christian schools and academies.
The student, upon completion of the requirements of this program, will give evidence
of the following:
1. Possess a foundational knowledge in Bible and general education and in
the Christian philosophy and methods of education.
2. Exhibit a thorough understanding of the philosophy of education that is
biblically based and theologically compatible with evangelical Christianity
and Wesleyan Methodism.
3. Be prepared to relate the importance of educational ministry to the total
mission of the Church.
4. Demonstrate the ability to organize and implement teaching and learning
experience in the classroom.
