The mission of the Communication Disorders program at Biola University is to prepare Christian men and women with the proper foundation for graduate studies, so they can one day serve with excellence the millions of people whose lives are affected by various communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, problems that touch the very core of our humanness. An on-campus clinical experience is provided during the student's senior year to facilitate moving theory into practice.
The Communication Disorders major begins with a strong foundation in normal speech, language, voice, and hearing functions, then specializes on various communication disorders and how to assess and treat these disorders.
