WMLN-FM, an award winning non-commercial radio station, is operated by Curry students under the supervision of the faculty director of broadcasting.

Licensed by the Federal Communications Commission on April 1, 1975, WMLN-FM operates on an assigned frequency of 91.5 MHz with a power of 172 watts. WMLN serves a potential audience of 250,000 within a 40-mile radius on Boston’s South Shore.

Most programs are produced by radio station students who earn credit for their participation. WMLN-FM is affiliated with the following professional organizations: NBC/CNN, Associated Press, Intercollegiate Broadcasters Association, Massachusetts Broadcasters Association, National Association of Broadcasters, and the New England Broadcasters Association.

WMLN-FM has won numerous news and sports awards over the years including being the recipient of the prestigious “College Radio Station of the Year” award in 1992 from the Associated Press.

Curry's radio broadcasting program is one of the oldest in the country, tracing its origin to 1932. During that school year, Curry students arranged for a schedule of broadcasts over WLOE, the radio station at the Hotel Bellevue on Beacon Hill in Boston. Readings, plays, and impersonations were given by students.
