The Communication Sciences and Disorders Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree communication sciences and disorders.
Four years of undergraduate education in the basic sciences, followed by at least two additional years of clinical study are required to practice as a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Graduates of professional programs must also complete a Clinical Fellowship and pass a national examination before earning certification. Speech-language pathologists are required by most states to earn a masters degree from a program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The graduate program in speech-language pathology at ACU is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation from ASHA.
