The Computer Engineering Technology major combines studies in selected areas of technology, computer science, physics, and mathematics to offer two options: software engineering technology and hardware engineering technology. The primary objective of the program is to prepare students to enter and progress in technical positions in business and industry. Graduates are generally expected to work with engineers and scientists in the research and development of ideas, products, and processes by applying engineering principles to the solution of practical problems in the computer and electronic fields.
The computer engineering technology degree program is designed to accommodate and to complement the previous studies of students who hold associate degrees in either electronic or computer technology from Washington State community colleges.
