The Bachelor Science degree Computer Science and Information Technology is offered by the School of Information Technology and Communication Design.
The CSIT major integrates fundamental computer science concepts with real-world information technology problem solving skills and prepares students for careers in technology-related fields and for graduate study. The human/user side of computing is uniquely emphasized, along with social, ethical and global issues related to the use of technology. Collaboration and communication skills are infused into the learning experiences, and courses are heavily project-based, in a state-of-the-art technological environment. The major contains a balance of theoretical and applications-oriented learning and was designed in collaboration with many community colleges to provide a seamless four-year curriculum for students.
