The emphasis of the Early Childhood Education program is teaching young children from birth to the third grade. When our students complete the program, they can look forward to careers as teachers, parent educators and employees with other agencies serving children, youth and families.
This laboratory-based program provides extensive field experiences at the Child Development Center. These experiences empower and guide pre-service students toward mastery in the following competencies:
