The Economics Curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers in various businesses and industries, for all levels of federal, state and local government service, and also for advanced study in law, business, or other professional and graduate schools.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS
A satisfactory completion of the following courses with a "C" or
better is a basic requirement. Course requirements include: EC 201-202, Principles of Economics I and II; EC 301 Microeconomics; EC 302 Macroeconomics; EC 304 Labor Economics; EC 303 Public Finance; SS 307 Statistical Methods; EC 308 Statistical Methods II; EC 401 International Trade and Finance; EC 405 Economics Security and Social Welfare; EC 412 The Law and Economics; EC 420 Managerial Economics; SS 475 Research Methods; and SS 476 Seminar.
Students are encouraged to participate in the Internship Program which will earn an appropriate number of elective credit hours.
