The Weatherhead B.A. in Economics is a 120-credit-hour, structured program involving analyzing problems of resource allocation and decision-making, and how these factors influence economies and societies. Economics is a popular first or second major for liberal arts students and sequence or minor for Engineering majors. Our highly regarded economics major attracts some of the best students on the Case campus. Within the program, students often assist the faculty in their research activities or participate in independent research projects. The undergraduate economics program is run by the Economics Department, a center for sophisticated research and teaching in economics, management and public policy. The Department is chaired by Jim Rebitzer, the John R. Mannix Medical Mutual of Ohio Professorship in Health Care Finance.
