The BAE in Elementary Education, Diversity in Languages and Literature with a Bilingual Endorsement in the College of Teacher Education and Leadership is available on the West and Downtown Phoenix campuses. This program is designed to give students a firm grounding in academic content with current research and best practices, accompanied by real-world classroom experiences. Students are engaged in field experiences and internships that align with their bilingual education academic program. The bilingual education concentration requires proficiency in Spanish. Students who complete the Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, Diversity in Languages and Literature with a bilingual endorsement are recommended for grades 1-8 teacher certification. All graduates of this program will have to pass the state certification test in content area knowledge and professional knowledge.
