A B.A.E. in Elementary Education - Bilingual Education prepares individuals to teach in a bilingual or E.S.L. environment. Bilingual teachers may:
* Teach content in Spanish or Native American Language (Arizona certification)
* Teach in self contained or resource classrooms
* Teach students English as a second language within a bilingual setting
* Teach children to value cultural diversity
Applicants to the Bilingual (BLE) program are required to demonstrate Spanish proficiency at Intermediate Spanish II level prior to admission, and should possess a desire to work with children who are acquiring English skills.
