English as a Second Language is a student-centered program serving non-native
English-speaking students who seek to improve their skills in speaking, listening, pronunciation, writing and/or reading comprehension in order to matriculate successfully in mainstream courses. ESL courses can be taken as a complete 12-credit per semester curriculum or in conjunction with courses in other fields. Placement into ESL courses is based on individual assessment. The department also offers ongoing tutoring. (Up to 12 ESL credits may be applied towards graduation.)
