The Computer Graphic Arts major prepares students to work in a wide variety of media choices. This course of study combines classes from a wide variety of multimedia areas within the department: Computer graphic design, desktop publishing, web design, Flash animation, computer animation, 3-D modeling, and studio arts. These options better prepare students for careers in advertising, publishing and marketing. Students work in such programs as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects and 3-D Studio Max.
Many of our students cross over between animation and computer design. The disciplines are closely aligned and make use of similar creative demands. Students can co-major or minor in one or more areas.
