FRENCH MAJOR with elementary teaching certification
EIGHT units of French all at 201 level or above including:
one unit from FREN 303 through FREN 305
one unit from FREN 351 through FREN 365
one-quarter unit senior seminar
NOTES:
(a) Students whose placement test results exempt them from courses at the 200-level
must fulfill the eight unit requirement beginning at the 300-level. These
students do not receive credit for 201 or 202.
(b) Only one unit of Advanced Placement credit can count toward a major.
(c) All foreign language majors are required to study at least one semester
abroad in an approved off-campus program AND have at least one semester of residence in the Gerstacker International House.
(d) Foreign Languages 345 is recommended for elementary certification candidates.
