Students completing the Bachelor of General Studies degree will be able to:

* Character building: Illustrate how your education helped you develop characteristics of strong moral character
* Intellectually enlarging--breadth: Reflect how a broad general education is of value to you
* Intellectually enlarging--skills: Demonstrate skills of critical thinking, effective communication, and quantitative reasoning
* Lifelong learning and service: Discuss how your education strengthen personal commitment to lifelong learning, service, and the improvement of society
2. Demonstrate essential knowledge, skills, and scholarship in the area of emphasis as listed below (intellectually enlarging—depth)
