The Health & Physical Education program offers students extensive preparation in education courses leading to K - 12 certification in the state of Oklahoma, as well as providing students with inclusive preparation in the liberal arts. Students in the Health & Physical Education program gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be an educator who can make a positive difference in the lives of children. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning and application through coursework and numerous field experiences. Students have the opportunity to work one-on-one with professors and mentors to hone their skills as a Physical Educator. The Health & Physical Education degree at Bacone is respected both locally and state-wide because of the intensive training students receive at Bacone. Our students are in demand by local and state school districts because of the "quality of teachers" Bacone graduates. Students who complete the Health and Physical Education program will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree and be eligible for state licensure.
