The Bachelor of Science in Business (BSB) undergraduate degree program is designed to prepare graduates with the requisite knowledge, skills, and values to effectively apply various business principles and tools in an organizational setting. The BSB foundation is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practical application, while examining the areas of accounting, critical thinking and decision-making, finance, business law, management, marketing, organizational behavior, research and evaluation, and technology. Students are required to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the undergraduate business curricula through an integrated topics course. Special emphasis is placed on critical business threads throughout the program, which include: globalization, innovation, ethics, technology, diversity, and e-business.

The hospitality management major will prepare students for careers in the hospitality industry. The program emphasizes the development of skills in lodging management; food and beverage operations management; events and recreation planning; and facilities management. Upon completion of this program students will possess the knowledge and skills needed to become leaders in the hospitality industry.

This undergraduate degree program has a 60 credit Required Course of Study: 34 credits are allocated to the Bachelor of Science in Business foundation and 21 credits are allocated to the Hospitality Management major. Select courses have prerequisite requirements. In addition to the Required Course of Study, students must satisfy General Education and Elective requirements to meet the 120 (124 for Kansas) semester-credit minimums required for completion of the degree.
