Art Center remains a leader in illustration education by responding to the changes in professional markets. Our new Illustration curriculum, "New Eye," immerses students in popular culture while they formulate a vocabulary for visual communication. The curriculum encourages students to concentrate on an area of study while learning the business and presentation skills necessary to succeed in a competitive market. Courses of study include Entertainment Design, focusing on design-based drawing and conceptualizing; Entertainment Arts, concentrating on visual storytelling; Illustration Design, encouraging students to form an art director's sensibility; Fine Art Painting, balancing traditional skills with modern influences; and Motion Illustration, introducing digital animation technology into the illustration process.
