The international studies major utilizes courses from several academic disciplines to prepare students for a variety of internationally focused careers. A distinct international studies core provides the foundation for all the concentrations available in this major. Courses in anthropology, business, communications, culture, geography, history, linguistics, and political science provide students with the basic understanding they need to appreciate the diverse international community. Concentration options enable students to focus upon a particular area of interest within the international context. Three concentrations are available. Course equirements involve 21 semester hours of core requirements and 33-60 hours of concentration requirements, depending on the selected concentration.
